Oh, the projects I have!

My computer won't connect to the internet (what is it they say about a plumbers house? It always has a leak? Well, my husband works in computers. 'Nuff said.). *Ahem* So, like I was saying...I'm on hubby's computer and don't have any pictures to show you the projects I've done. And broken. *tears* And done again. All I'm going to say is perspective, people...perspective.

Now that my friend Cindy has a miter saw...there will be more. I'm officially borrowing it from her without her prior knowledge or consent. Really, I'm just jealous she got one before I did.

God love the hubby! He's a busy man...but my internet is getting fixed tonight.

  1. Carrie,
Thanks for visiting my blog and thank you for thinking of and praying for my mom. We found out a week ago Thursday that she has stomach cancer that has spread to her liver. My life has stopped on a dime. She is only 65 years old, and it's devastating to think of life without her. Tomorrow we go to the oncologist to get the results from the biopsy of her liver. We are praying for some little bit of hope. Liver cancer is one of the worst that you can have. And even though my mom may live longer than the doctors say, she will never live as long as I hoped for. She is the ideal mom and grandmother. Her kids and grandkids are her life! But her faith in God is greater. She has been such a witness to me. God has given her a peace beyond explanation. She keeps telling me to look for "blessings" during this trial, and we have seen them daily. I love her more than I ever thought possible. And I love my husband and children more than I ever thought possible. And I love my Lord more than I ever thought possible. It's when we go through trials like this that I realize GOD IS ENOUGH!
    Oops, I'm rambling...
You asked about the paint, right? :)
I tried three different paint colors before I found one that I liked. I saw a house in Southern Living magazine that I just loved and the paint they used was Khaki Shade by Sherwin Williams. I used it in my den, kitchen and hallways, and I love it. We even painted my mom's house with it a couple of weekends ago.
It shows off the white trim work really well.
Anyway, hope that helps. Thanks again for stopping by my blog.
Blessings to you and your sweet family,
    Traci

  2. I'll have to send you a picture of one of my projects and get your input. I have an old girlie dresser that I want to refinish for Allie. I am bumbed that the paint is in such bad shape because it is soooo cute! Maybe I will post it on my blog and you can give me your 2 cents. Happy projecting!!
